Building/Code Enforcement

 

The Building Department for the City of Goldendale is responsible for the reviewing plans and specifications and inspecting all building projects. The current codes adopted by the City of Goldendale include the State Building Code, 2006 International Building Code, 2006 International Residential Code, 2006 International Mechanical Code, 2006 International Fire Code, 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code, Washington State Energy Code, Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code and the International Fuel and Gas Code. In addition, the City has specific codes for the installation of manufactured homes, additional rules for construction in our floodways and illumination control of Outdoor Light Fixtures that helps control the light pollution and support better star viewing at the Goldendale Observatory.

 

Residential Building Permits

Click here to go to the Permit Management Portal. This link will take you to an external site. You can submit a Building Permit Application for a residential building permit or Search Existing Permits. You must have your contractor access code to search permits.

 

Code Enforcement

This department is also responsible for code enforcement of the Nuisance Regulations outlined in the Goldendale Municipal Code Section 8.45. Generally, the nuisances include trash covered premises, junk vehicles, accumulation of litter, noxious weeds and tall grass, dilapidated fences and abandoned buildings.
