04-19-11 - Upcoming Railroad Overlay Project
The Public Works Department is gearing up for the upcoming Railroad Overlay Project.
Project limits: From Columbus Ave, west, to Klickitat St.
Project Components: Grind the existing pavement and overlay with new asphalt the east and west bound driving lanes, 13 feet either side of the centerline. Replace the existing and or install handicap compliant sidewalk ramps along the south side of Railroad Ave.
Schedule: Project to be completed during the summer of 2011 at the scheduling convenience of the Contractor.
Traffic Impacts: During the grind and overlay portion of the project a detour will be necessary. The detour will route traffic on Sentinal St. the first east-west street south of Railroad Ave. While sidewalk ramps are being constructed the work area will be restricted from pedestrian use and temporary detour ramps around the work will be provided.
