Answers:

1. How does my water billing system work?
Water bills go out on the 5th of every month. The billing period is from the 15th to the 15th a month behind (i.e. August 15th-September 15th is billed on October 5th).
2. Why is my water bill higher some months than others?
The City reads the meters 4 times a year and overages are charged on these reads for actual water used. October is usually the highest bill of the year as the overage is calculated from the reads between July 15th and September 15th which is the hottest time and more water is used for watering. The City does not read through the winter.
